Not FDA-approved for slowing myopia progression. US clearance is by 510(k), held by Visioneering Technologies (K150385, 2015-04-30 and K173086, 2017-11-07), for correction of refractive ametropia and presbyopia; FDA lists no PMA for this lens. An FDA myopia-control indication requires a PMA, as MiSight 1 day has (P180035).
Initial Fitting Guide
Refract to the sphero-cylindrical distance power that gives optimal vision; DO NOT push plus. Verify binocularly with the Duochrome (red-green) in a darkened room and reduce plus until the green-side letters are first seen clearer ("one click into green").
Initial lens
the one-click-into-green spherical equivalent DISTANCE Rx, vertexed to the corneal plane. VTI's QuickStart Calculator automates this step.
One universal add covers ADD needs to +3.00D; there is no add power to select. Get distance crisp and near follows.
