Travoprost intracameral implant pre-loaded in a sterile single-dose inserter.
Mechanism of Action
Travoprost free acid, a prostaglandin analog is a selective FP prostanoid receptor agonist, which is believed to reduce IOP by increasing uveoscleral outflow. The exact mechanism of action is unknown at this time.
Warnings & Precautions
Iridocorneal angles: use with caution in narrow angles or other angle abnormalities.
Device dislocation: monitor routinely to confirm the implant remains at the site of administration.
Corneal adverse reactions, including corneal endothelial cell loss, have been reported.
May cause increased brown pigmentation of the iris, which is likely to be permanent.
Common Side Effects
the most common ocular adverse reactions reported in 2% to 6% of patients were increases in intraocular pressure, iritis, dry eye, and visual field defects.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy: No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Subcutaneous travoprost in animals produced adverse effects at exposures far above the clinical one.
Lactation: Unknown whether travoprost is present in human milk.
Pediatric Use
The safety and effectiveness of iDose TR have not been established in pediatric patients.
