Contraindications
ZOLYMBUS is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bimatoprost or to any of the ingredients.

Mechanism of Action
Bimatoprost is a synthetic structural analog of prostaglandin that selectively mimics the prostamides. It lowers intraocular pressure by increasing aqueous outflow through both the trabecular meshwork and the uveoscleral route.
Warnings & Precautions
Pigmentation of the iris, periorbital tissue and eyelashes can occur; iris pigmentation is likely to be permanent.
Eyelash changes: gradual increase in length, thickness and number of lashes.
Intraocular inflammation: use with caution in active intraocular inflammation.
Macular edema, including cystoid macular edema, has been reported.
Not recommended below the age of 16 years.
Common Side Effects
the most frequently reported ocular adverse reactions were conjunctival hyperemia (14%), eye irritation (11%), eye pruritus (9%) and foreign body sensation in eyes (8%).
Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy: No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
Lactation: Unknown whether bimatoprost is present in human milk.
Pediatric Use
Use in patients below the age of 16 years is not recommended because of potential safety concerns related to increased pigmentation after long-term chronic use.
