Geometry
Two variants, Thin and Xtra, share a 14.2 mm diameter.
Base curve
The Thin runs a median 8.6 mm only, while the Xtra adds a steep 8.3 mm that is available in minus powers only.
Note
The Thin covers +6.00 to -6.00 by 0.25 diopters and -6.00 to -8.00 by 0.50; the Xtra extends to -10.00 by 0.50.
Fitting
Good movement, centration and comfort are achieved for the majority of patients with the 8.6 mm base curve.
Material
Hioxifilcon A, a non-ionic copolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and glycerol methacrylate (GMA), cross-linked with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA).
Optics
Refractive index is 1.515 dry and 1.404 hydrated.
Handling tint
Blue visibility handling tint, phthalocyanato (2) - (copper).
Replacement
Prescribable for frequent or planned replacement wear with cleaning, disinfection and scheduled replacement, disinfected on a chemical system.
Packaging
Supplied sterile in a sealed blister pack of buffered normal saline, labeled with base curve, power, diameter, manufacturing lot number and expiry date.
