Sold only by 1-800 Contacts, as its own private-label daily silicone hydrogel; made by Visco Vision Inc. of Taoyuan, Taiwan, and cleared under K160344 as the Si-Hy (olifilcon B) Spherical Silicone Hydrogel Soft Contact Lens. Not fitted through practices: 1-800 Contacts fills an existing spherical prescription or issues one through its online vision exam.
Material
53% olifilcon B, 47% water, FDA Group 1 (non-ionic, low water). Dk 120 (Fatt method, 35 C) with a 0.08 mm center thickness at -3.00D, so Dk/t is about 150 at that power. Refractive index 1.410. Cast molded.
Handling
light blue visibility tint (Reactive Blue 19); does not change eye color. UV: benzotriazole UV-absorbing monomer, transmitting about 2.2% UVB and 8.7% UVA, which meets the Class 2 thresholds.
The 510(k) covers base curves 8.0 to 9.2 mm and diameters 13.0 to 15.0 mm; 1-800 Contacts stocks one fit, 8.8 / 14.1, as printed on the box label.
